Wow, what a day! We saw a lot of great performances from many of the athletes, and both teams did very, very well. I’m so proud of how everyone did today. We can definitely walk away from this regional meet with our heads held high.

Congrats to the boys for qualifying for the state meet with a 2nd place overall finish, and to Rylan for his individual region championship! Congrats also to our girls for stepping up and fighting for a spot today. They placed tied for third but unfortunately lost by a tiebreaker, so they did not qualify as a team. It was so exciting to watch the race unfold! Congrats to Mya, Kayla, and Rachel for qualifying individually for state! This WHOLE team is truly a special group of kids.

For the state team: we will practice 3:15-5:00 tomorrow, and I will hand out information for next week, because the school schedule is a little weird and we have to work around that. For state team families: we will be leaving school next Friday, staying the night, and racing next Saturday. More info coming tomorrow.
