Good Afternoon Families,

I hope everyone has had a chance to enjoy this amazing fall weather and the changing colors! The season is rapidly coming to an end for everyone, with the region meet next Thursday and the state meet the week after. A few points:

Tomorrow we will have our first annual GHS XC Postseason mile time trial. Everyone healthy enough to race a mile will do it, and it is my goal to do this every year and have something to compare year-to-year. We will end practice by announcing the Region training team.

Practices this week will be done at 5:00pm, rather than the 5:15 we’ve been doing most of the season. Starting Tuesday, only the athletes announced on the region training team should be at practice.

Next Wednesday is our final team gathering of the year, hosted by Hannah’s family. Next Thursday is the region meet at Smithfield. Because of the time of the meet and the travel, student-athletes will be missing a decent amount of the school day (we’ll probably be leaving late morning). I do want the whole team to travel and be there for each other.
